Fans of the gripping series Trigger Point have been treated to a sneak peek of what's in store for them in the highly anticipated third season, with the release date now confirmed and not far off. ITV has unveiled first look images and a trailer from the brand new series, featuring Vicky McClure in the heart of the action as Expo Lana Washington.
Once again, she will guide her team through another set of nail-biting missions where a single misstep could spell catastrophe. The six-part series follows the seasoned team as they investigate a bomb threat that soon unravels to be the beginning of a sinister vendetta: someone is out for personal revenge. Working hand-in-hand with the Police Counterterrorism Unit, the Bomb Disposal Squad races against the clock to locate the bomber before they strike their next target, reports The Mirror.
Following some significant character fatalities, the Trigger Point cast now comprises a blend of familiar faces and several newcomers, including Prime Target and Boiling Point star Jason Flemyng as Steven Wyles.
Despite suffering heavy losses in previous years, Lana's squad and their Met Police colleagues, including Eric Shango's Danny, Nabil Elouahabi's Hass, Natalie Simpson's DS Helen Morgan and Maanuv Thiara's DCI Amar Batra, are ready to face another day.
Joining them is Mark Rowley - best known for his role as noble warrior Finan in historical drama The Last Kingdom - who steps into the role of Rich Manning in Trigger Point's third season.
Once more, the series will be executive produced by Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio, among others, with Bloodlands writer Chris Brandon brought in to pen the script, having previously co-written the season two finale with Amanda Duke.

Trigger Point season three is directed by Jamie Donoghue and returning director Audrey Cooke, whose other credits include DI Ray, Bloodlands and Death in Paradise.
Series three also received a special honour in March when Her Majesty The Queen visited the Trigger Point set and met with the team to mark the start of ITV's 70th year celebrations, and following the success of the series.
The last series averaged 8.1million viewers and was streamed 30million times on ITVX, making it the second most watched drama on ITV1 in 2024, with Mr Bates vs The Post Office taking the number one slot.
Trigger Point Season 3 premieres Sunday, 26th October 2025 at 9pm on ITV1 and STV, with the full series available to stream on ITVX and STV Player.
