saw 26 countries perform in front of a live audience in Basel, Switzerland as they faced the jury and public vote. While UK's Remember Monday did well in the jury vote with their song What The Hell Just Happened?, ending in 10th place with 88 points, the public vote changed everything.
Meanwhile, Austria ended up winning the show in a nail-biting showdown against Israel, with Austrian singer JJ eventually ending the live final with 436 points. He needed 100 or more from the public to win, which he rocketed past by getting 178 more points. Following the announcement, a tearful JJ said: "I want to thank my entire family, my entire team, thank you so much for making my dreams come true. And especially to you, Europe, thank you for making my dreams come true. Love is the strongest force in the world. Let's spread more love. Thank you so much."
But as for the UK's vote, the 12 points went to Latvia, while 10 points went to Denmark and eight to Austria.

Another added: "UK public votes gives 12 points to Israel. The silent majority speaks louder than the haters again."

A fifth added: "In the UK Israel won the popular vote. The same, across Eurovision. That is telling."
