What do experts say?
Experts said that pilocarpine has been used in this eye drop. This formulation of the drug constricts the pupils and ciliary muscle, which control the eye's ability to see objects at different distances. Diclofenac has also been used in this, which reduces the inflammation and discomfort caused by pilocarpine.

Patients were given these eye drops twice a day. Researchers assessed how well the patients could read without glasses one hour after the first use of the drops.

Dr. Giovanna Benoza, Director of the Center for Research on Presbyopia in Argentina, says, "Existing solutions, such as glasses or surgery, have limitations, including discomfort and potential risks and complications. These eye drops offer new hope. One hour after taking the first drops, patients experienced an average improvement of 3.45 Jaeger lines. The entire treatment improved patients' vision at all distances. The improvement in patients' vision persisted for more than two years, indicating that reducing the need for glasses with this medication is no longer a challenge."
