Prima facie, they are defamatory. This is shocking," the court said. "We believe there is a reason for you to approach this court, but a process must be followed."

What happened in court today?

Senior advocate Sandeep Sethi appeared on behalf of Wankhede. He stated that an application for amendment of the complaint has been filed. Wankhede's lawyer informed the court that his case falls within the jurisdiction of the Delhi High Court.

The lawsuit seeks a permanent and mandatory injunction against the production house and others, as well as damages of ₹2 crore, which Wankhede has pledged to donate to the Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital for cancer patients. The next hearing in the case will be on October 30.
