Liverpool were lauded by Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher as both men highlighted how they've begun the season with maximum points despite being far from their best.
The Reds were handed a challenging opening few weeks and have failed to hit top gear, yet they remain the only team with a 100 percent record after downing Arsenal. Dominik Szoboszlai's stunning free-kick late on sealed the three points for the Reds.
Late goals have been a theme throughout their campaign - Federico Chiesa scored in the 88th minute to see off Bournemouth on the opening night. Just over a week later and Rio Ngumoha produced an impressive finish with the clock striking the 100th minute to see off Newcastle.
Liverpool have conceded four times in three games, yet the Sky Sports pundits underlined how the defending champions have continued to win games regardless of their issues.
Jamie Carragher said: "Absolutely huge. Liverpool have nine points out of nine. They've played two really difficult games - Newcastle away and Arsenal at home. And they've been nowhere near their best. What a position they find themselves in. Get the transfer window out of the way and then come back after the international break and I'm sure we'll see a lot better from Liverpool in these next few months."

Keane was equally complimentary of the Reds as he praised them for masking their difficulties, the majority of them defensively, with none of their opponents able to exploits their issues with Liverpool instead making sure they get the job done each time they play.
He said: "We talk about Liverpool’s problems in the last few games with their defending where they’ve given up chances, but you still have to beat them. It’s the sign of a good team that you win football matches when you’re not at your best. That’s what champions do and that’s what they’ve done."
Liverpool are aiming to win successive titles for the first time in more than 30 years and have been aggressive in the transfer market in an effort to remain top of the pile in England. Arne Slot talked up their win over the Gunners, who have also spent big,
"If you win against a team like Arsenal, who last season were such a good team and have strengthened so much, to win against them is very positive. We will know at the end of the season what it's worth."
