Worli MLA Aaditya Thackeray strongly criticised the BJP-led dispensation after heavy rains on Monday led to a suspension of services at the newly opened Acharya Atre Chowk station, part of the recently launched second phase of Metro Line 3, also known as the Aqua Line.
Thackeray visited the station and criticised the government for what he described as “shoddy execution” of the project. Upon learning that the waterlogging was caused by ongoing construction activities, he questioned why the station was inaugurated in such haste.
