Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) [India], October 10 (ANI): The Police Commissioner of Visakhapatnam, CP Shankh Brat Baghchi, stated that the police solved a theft case and apprehended the old woman's grandson for the crime, recovering 12 tolas of gold and cash totalling ₹2,10,000 from the accused on Friday.
This incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Kancherpalem Police Station and marks the fifth such incident this month. According to police officials, the grandson, struggling with debts incurred from trading, was involved in planning the crime. He, along with three college friends, tied up his grandmother and stole not only cash and gold but also the family car.
The individuals accused in this theft case are identified as Krishna Kanth, Pramod Kumar, Shake Abhishek, and Satya.
After conducting a detailed investigation, the police discovered that Abhishek and Krishna Kanth had been acquainted since their college days.
The police managed to identify the criminals by analysing coded phone conversations among the suspects. Additionally, it was discovered that the perpetrators had also tampered with the CCTV cameras, rendering them non-functional, a week prior to the incident.

In a post on X, Vizag City Police stated, "Visakhapatnam City Crime Police have successfully cracked a sensational robbery case that took place within the jurisdiction of Kancherapalem Police Station. In this incident, they arrested four accused, including a young student who planned the robbery right in his own home." (ANI)
