Patna (Bihar) [India], November 12 (ANI): Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan expressed confidence in the National Democratic Alliance's victory in the Bihar assembly elections, and praised the high voter turnout in phase two of the polls.
He further mentioned that the participation of voters in the polling procedure of Bihar polls was truly "unforgettable".
"Based on information received through various sources and party workers, I can say with full confidence that a government with full majority is going to be formed in Bihar. Today, the final phase of the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections has also been successfully concluded. The god-like voters of Bihar have participated in this grand festival of democracy in both phases with such enthusiasm and activity, which is truly unforgettable," Chirag Paswan wrote on 'X'.
Paswan also extended his gratitude to every citizen of Bihar for their blessings throughout the election campaign. He emphasised that the women have demonstrated awareness and positive thinking while casting their vote, which is commendable and inspiring.
"In particular, our mothers, sisters and those youth who voted for the first time have demonstrated such awareness and positive thinking, which is commendable and inspiring. For the immense love, support, and trust received by the NDA candidates on all seats in Bihar, including all 29 assembly constituencies of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), I express heartfelt thanks and gratitude to each voter. For the blessings you all have given me during the campaign, I express heartfelt thanks," Paswan wrote on 'X'.
The second phase of polling in Bihar saw a record voter turnout of 68.76%, the highest in the state's history.
The overall polling percentage for the two phases was 66.91 %. This is the highest voter turnout recorded in the State since 1951, according to the Election Commission. The first phase saw a voter turnout of 65.08%. (ANI)
